Is there a decent caliper upgrade anyone can point me towards. I like the Brembo look being coloured but as its puerly for aesthetic reasons is there a non chav cost effective option?
Not sure what you mean by non chav upgrade, or what ‘the Brembo look’ is, you can upgrade with non shouty colours. Do you want bigger calipers, 4 or 6 pots for increased stopping power for example, any upgrade on a 35is will be costly. These fit and are approx 2k, about the cheapest bigger calipers AFAIK. I think you can fit the 4 pot calipers too, but these are about the same price so why not go 6 pot.
To be fair the standard stoppers are ample on the 35is unless you’re tracking it as I’m sure you know, and as Twin turbo says pads are the first place to investigate if you need a little more bite.
Personally a bright silver would look good on a Valencia orange car, but then I’m fairly conservative....thinly disguised as boring....
If you go for drilled, slotted discs then you need to upsize the rotors (to make up for lost surface area) and calipers. A good example of this can be seen on a mercedes 220 (latest car). The cars are performance and weight identical but the AMG sports pack car has drilled discs, as a result the disc size has been increased to almost as big as it can be and completely fills the inside of the wheel.
Another top tip for drilled discs, try to get them with countersunk drillings, reduces cracking.
At the end of the day though, just changing/upgrading pads will have an identical effect..
