That blue does look very nice with the silver body color. Maybe I should consider that color for my silver car I have!

BTW, which coilovers do you have? Do you like them? How are they on the street?

Thanks,
~Tom

They’re ST X coilovers. Fitted by the previous owner at 140.000km, I’m currently at 178 and going strong. They’re stiff but well-sorted, as you’d expect from the daughter company of KW  The ride is hard but I’m on 19’s so that doesn’t help

They are powder coated BMW Estoril Blue

Wondering, is this a heat resistant powder coat or the normal powder coat? Normal powder coat should be fine for the street, but if tracking, might be an issue. Just curious. I know the place I have gotten powder coating done at does not do heat resistant, but obviously there are places that do. :?

Thanks for the info. Price seems inline with the BC RACING COILOVERS. I'm running 19's as well and can be a bit punishing with the stock struts at 112K miles. I have never driven the car with the stock 18", but bet the ride would be a bit nicer on more rubber! But I really like the 19's! Killer look!

I painted mind Blue at the weekend to subtle on a Montego Blue but for a silver Coupe I'd go Black or Silver, seeing as these calipers arnt very hard-core I think a darker colour is best imop

I'm planning on repainting the calipers and can't really decide which colour to go with. I'm not really into some blue, red, yellow, etc. stuff, I'm thinking more about black or silver/grey variants. Black would be almost invisible so the wheel itself becomes more "visible" while bright silver would add to the overall look.

Opinions?

When I bought new calipers for my e39, they came in bright silver. Looks like this:

Mine had lived in Scotland so I had no choice but to go black as the surface was like craters on the moon

Now they are invisible craters, much better than brown though

Always liked the look of the old school silver and gold split rims... gold calipers!?

My gf suggested to go with blue. I tried to photoshop it and it's not that bad, but I don't know... :idunno:

Ooooo gold, reminds me of being a kid and our neighbours dad got a Datsun 240z, fluffy dice and tiger fur seat covers. He thought it was the mutts nuts It suited his style though, big tash and a gold medalion were his forte.

Mine is a non-M with red calipers and M markings on the rear which is how I bought and how I like it, it's my car so my decision lol 😁😁
