Folks,
Might sound stupid, I am replacing discs, pads, whilst I have the wheels off I figure its about time to freshen up my calipers. I am having them bead blasted and painted, question is, is there any way of doing this without draining all brake fluid ?

You could clamp the lines but I really wouldnt recommend it if you're removing the calipers, there will still be some leakage, and you'll still have to top up and bleed the system, plus clamping for a few days could damage the lines.. In this case best just to do the job properly and drain the system and remove the calipers

Just get another pair of calipers then swap them over. They are surprisingly cheap. I wouldn’t drain the system though as you’ll get into having to bleed the ABS pump.

Take the cap off the reservoir, put a food bag/cling film over the hole and then screw the cap back on. Then take your calipers off. Obviously when you put them back on you'll have to top up the amount that was I'm each caliper but it won't be much. And they'll need bleeding too. Works a treat.

Looks like you've had some good answers above.

My question tho, what colour are the calipers going, if you have a chance to powder coat then then maybe go something non standard

Will put pics up once it's all done :driving:
I will be replacing the flexible lines but has anyone replaced the fixed piping ?
Also recommendations welcome for refurb kits on the calipers ?
