Braided Hose fitting query

Hi All,

I've just fitted the freakyparts Brembo brake kit to my M Coupe and the braided hoses which came with the kit don't quite fit perfectly.

Where the braided hose threads onto the original hard brake line there is a small 'bridge' piece. When the hose is fully tight the bridge is able to spin, almost like it is either fitted incorrectly or needs a washer/spacer to put it under tension.

Has anyone else experienced this or have I made an error in the fitting?

Can’t you just squeeze the sides in.

I have the Bavauto braided hoses and it's the same thing, you need a couple of these retaining clips to hold them in place.
