Brads Z4

Stupid question, but is there a 'how to' on here. Unsure what to and not too mask up.

May see how much a paint shop will ask to do them, assuming they will have the tools to remove them, disassemble, paint and lacquer and fit it back together. It's one part of the car I most certainly don't want to mess with!
Why not do it yourself in situ?

We'll see :) I'll probably leave it till summer (whenever that may be).

Use the brush on type! I've just used some smooth silver hammerite on my discs and they look much better. I'll get some pics up tomorrow if you like. I just bought the tin of paint, a brush and a wire brush from halfords. Thats all you need. Maybe buy an extra paint brush and some caliper paint while you're there. I've used halfords caliper paint before and its good stuff tbf. Although if you want them silver then you can just use the hammerite.

I sprayed my brakes on my suzuki and made a right arse of it. So may try have a go at brushing it on.

It works quite well tbh the paint flows out so the brush marks blend in.

Right, just bacl from a Pistonhead run. First proper drive Iv been in the Z4.

Few little issues I need to iron out

I noticed about half way in, whenever I braked I would get a really bad shake in the steering wheel. Is this normal when the brakes are heated up? (more than they're used too). It felt like my discs had turned into rubber.

Also, I'm hearing more and more creaks from the rear suspension when going over speed bumps and pot holes, so I'll need to see if the springs are still alive :(

Anyway, apart from the issues, I had great fun! Seen some new german metal too which was a bonus!

There were 60+ cars on the run, from and old 76 Camaro to a 458 Italia. GTR R35 and Aston Martin forum where along for the ride aswell by the looks of it.

Just need to paint the calipers and hubs.

Then decided whether or not I want to lower it.

Gave the car detail this week and decided I need to get the front bumper resprayed as there are odd patches of lacquer peel.
