Brad Marsh..

I remember something about laying it up to wait for paint and to hav a load of work done. Something about just moved and life getting in the way needing money for other stuff??

I met brad at a bmw night at matchams raceway in ringwood earlier this year he seemed like a good lad didnt seem the type to scam
money out of people, and fair play to him for doing that to a car its not to everyones taste and not to mine either but he liked it, I wouldnt
go and stick a mahoosive turbo on mine either like Jonny is I would rather buy a car with a bigger engine and more power but each to their
own if thats what floats there boats then good luck to them

El Taco was a bit harsh sometimes but he did make me chuckle

I loved el taco too!

Never did see my name on his bonnet!

But then i gave a donation to help a member who had a tough spell... And he never asked for it... It was suggested by someone else and we went with it... So i dont fell duped.

Always had admiration for how he thick skinned and determined the guy was. I don't think that anyone can argue that his car was one of the most watched/read about on the forum. It was exactly as he called it himself - marmite.

I bet Brad will be one of these guys who owns some truly stunning cars in his lifetime, he may look back on the zed and squirm, but our tastes do change over the years and this will be where it all started.

I meet Brad a good few times. I doubt very much he was out to rip us off. He is a good guy and passionate about his car.
Now his project was not what i would do with a car. But i cant sit hear and type about people modding cars and not liking it can i. Mine has been screwed around with a fair bit and i am sure its not what a lot of you would do.

I think his thick skin wore thin. And his project like so many others never got finished. Moving out of the family home having other financial commitments. And just getting fed up with working on something that's not getting where you want it too. At a price you can afford. All stuff i fully understand.

Its a shame as i would have liked to have seen it finished.

He was certainly no automotive designer.
Great to see someone doing what he did though.

I like my car to handle like a car, not like a float.

I have to agree. But i also have to say the idea was ok. The execution was well not great. Too much filler not enough skilled metal work And to much sanding lost all the shape and angular lines from the car. If it had been wide and big and angular it could have been very cool.

Brad is a nice fella and there's no way he scammed anybody, it wasn't his idea so set up a donations thread anyway it was another member who thought it would be a nice gesture.
I wish there were more "Brad's" on the forum rather than, "look at my new CSL wheels".

....and, I know there's piss taking but El Taco was a bit of a cun#!

100% Bllend 100% not a cun# Lux

I agree there are a lot doing the same thing. But if thats what people want fair play. CSLs look good on a zed. But it is nice when people do different things. Like JE i think his turbo build is a bold move. And refreshing to see.

I deleted my post just before yours so i'll put it back up as people will be thinking you are on about ET not me!

"Bellend sometimes yes, but i'm not a cun# Mark."

There you go, and thanks for the vote of confidence Mat!

I agree 100% I don't think Brad for 1 second ripped anyone off, he always come across as a nice guy, maybe to nice some would say.

Still didn't like the build and the changes though like many other on here

Having met you, I wouldn't class you as either Lux, I'd class you more as a wind-up merchant. And pretty good at it.

I've had a chuckle reading this thread and at the end of the day it's all down to Brad's eccentricity, therefore you can't knock him (or Jonny) for making the forum interesting and amusing !!

We could do with a few more nutters I reckon !
