Not sure I agree - definitely the most convoluted con of all time, if it was one. I didn't donate either, but that is just because I am cheap!

I don't think that Brad was 'conning' anyone when the break-in happened

Even if the car didn't get finished, the donations were a great example of how people on this forum will rally round and try to help 'one of our own'
 
He didn't ask for any money though did he?
Wasn't it kinda donated as he got some stuff stolen?

He did indeed- and BMW were going to refuse to put it up on the ramps, had he asked, in case it fell through!!!

I donated but looking back id rather have paid into a " keep Taco on the forum " fund , he was far more entertaining & it would seem more credible

The guy had a vision for his Zed, ok it wasn't everyone's cup of tea but it was his and he didn't care what anyone thought. He also took a lot of stick for it and a lot of praise. I made a point of approaching him on the English/ Welsh meet and found him to be a really nice bloke . I was a bit worried when I was following him though that bits of his car might start falling off :wink:

2nd bit quite funny :P 1st bit ?? yea we all have our own ideas & fair do's to him for pushing his own
Should also be remembered he was never twitched up about folks negative comments & there were plenty of those
He was a fledgling flapping his wings & in time he will probably realise he should have put the ££ into a house deposit with his lass & not spunked it on a whimsical mptoring monstrosity :wink:
