Hah. Had a similar experience following a mail van in the Forest of Dean. All about carrying speed through blind corners... something that I wasn't prepared to do and he was! :?
All of them probably have very good knowledge of the roads they are on and know exactly when to push the limit,.
Absolutely right - there was only one road around the island. . .this person knew every blind bend, loose road surface, camber and hazards at every corner and modulated the throttle for every bend - carried more speed than I would have not knowing the blind bends so just enjoyed the ride and remained impressed at how his speed varied for just the right reasons - excellent driving. (Must be a little boring only having that route every day though!)
