Thought I'd miss heard the price in the preview - he's bought it for a grand :o
Commercial break time . . .

I'm starting to think it's all set up, a grand for the car was crazy money even if it did need a new gearbox !

That episode has been doing the rounds for a while..................the original price paid smells like a kipper.
Parts-wise even for a private seller at least double that.
986's are great value.

I love watching WDs, but it's unrealistic. Ed spends days on the cars, often doing things even a competent home mechanic would touch, so the reality is it's probably costs times as much as they suggest.

I've also heard stories that they only sell about 50% of them with the rest being fake sales on camera to production staff.

Doesn't matter though as its still good viewing.

You have gone and burst my bubble now, he's me thinking it was all genuine

Has anybody re-trimmed the Z4 M seats with alcantara?

I think I would go for that. My E Class with AMG trim is leather with alcantara down the middle, and is really comfy, and looks great.

A bit of a random post in a wheeler dealer thread haha

Not sure anyone has but I think it would look great, also would stop you sliding about as much on hard driving :)

Well actually, Mike had the Boxster S seats refurbished in alcantara by a brummy bloke - looked quite good too :)

There are quite a few Auto Seat trimmers here in the West Mids. I had my MG re leathered in the 90s by a guy in Walsall Wood he is a legend, all the classic car nuts use him, might sound him out on the cost for the Z using Alcantara.
