Sad day, sold my Z4 last week as I just didn’t use it enough . After Covid I still mostly WFH so the Z hardly gets used.
My plan was to keep the car long term so I kept on top of everything, I had an odd running fault that didn’t throw any codes but produced a misfire and poor running. I made the expensive decision to go through the sensors and replace one by one ( a very good Indie couldn’t trace the fault) until I found the issue . So I replaced the following, MAF, VANOS solenoid valves, Coils, both DISA valves and both pre cat Lamba sensors. The poor running was still present, so all of the sensors and valves were good. Anyhow to cut a long story short a good mate who is a brilliant auto spark found the fault, all down to poor earths, replaced a lot of wiring and hey presto, no misfire or poor acceleration .
So after that long winded explanation i have all the sensors i took off which are probably perfectly serviceable.
My car was a 2006 Z4 3.0si .
The below probably cost between £800-£1000 and were all BMW or OEM equivalent, so if any one is interested I’m offering the lot for £75 all in .
I don’t really want to split as it’s a good box of spares .
1-MAF
6 Ignition Coils
2- VANOS Solenoids
2- Pre CAT Lamba’s
Small and large DISA Valves
