Bouncing headlight beam

Had my zed 2 weeks now and just noticed on the way home in the dark my drivers side light beam in front of me was wobbling up and down as i went over small bumps in the road

Just had a look under the bonnet this morning and the headlight is very loose and appears to have previously been glued into place and the bond has given up, persumably the headlight will have mountings to secure them onto the bumper or chassis and they must be broken.

any advice on practical solutions without having to buy a whole new lamp unit would be great

I don't know of any reliable solution other than replacing the housing. Often found on ebay at a good price though, depending on your year/type of lighting.

so i can just purchase housing rather than a whole new lamp unit???

Got the same problem looks like a plastic rod has broken but cant see properly under bonnet. Anyone else any ideas on how to fix without getting full housing. Getting annoying now the nights are getting darker? :(

you'll find the whole assy (used) at reasonable cost (unless it's a clear indicator with xenon)
