Hi guys, i just put a deposit on this. I just bought it to put my new number plate on because i dont want to buy a brand new Z, so i need to put my plate on something no older than a 2012 registered viehicle. Im not expecting it to be much as it was quite cheap..but a few blasts out in the summer for three years shouldnt kill it....what do you think of it.........

Expensive way of getting your plate but peace of mind for you.

Can you say what your plate is?

Plate is HU12TER and my car is sterling grey...not really suited to a sunshine quad...i think the blue looks great....

Hunter - did you really buy the bike for the number plate or because you wanted it for a hoon? :fuelfire:

Surely now, putting it on a retention certificate would have been cheaper AND easier? :poke:

lol, its on a retention cert...i just cant afford a brand new Z at the mo...so i thought of this as a compromise...still get my plate on something and an excuse to be 14 again lol

We all still got a bit of a kid in us....plus in the weather we been having..dare i say it...for short journeys..the quad will be more fun than the Z :D

Fantastic it looks a blast....... errrr :poke: u do know you can only have a square number plate on a bike. i think this is the same for a quad...
never stopped me though

lol...i think a quad is classed as a car, you can ride one on a car liecence but not on a bike one...so im not sure about the number plate shape

get the plate you want... i see people riding them all the time without helmets on (must be mad) and they never get stopped...

A quad will be mental....

Looks great fun, I'm tempted! Would give ne an excuse to get the leathers on and attend Tuesday bike night down Poole Quay. I'm sure the serious bikers would laugh at it though :)

They can giggle all they want...you dont even need to wear a helmet with these. I think i will tho...not sure about the leathers though.
I just think its a good cheap fun way of buying a brand new viehicle. I just hope its not made of tin foil and chewing gum and disintergrates at 10mph....its a risk im prepared to take though....

Some would say it doesnt!!!! :) but there is logic to it...i work away and im only home for three weeks at a time then away again for three..now i get home tomorrow for three..so itll be time to come back to work as it arrives...hence.. I WANT IT NOW!!! :headbang:

Damn you for posting that!! I like those!! 8)

This is the company that makes them: http://feiyu.en.alibaba.com

They are about the same price as a set of OEM 19" wheels for an E89 Z4!!

Im not sure that they are..could be though. I know a few companies make very similar bikes..the one iv ordered is a 350 6 speed and they only seem to do 250 4 speeds.
I was talking to the guy at viper earlier and he told me that he goes over there and specs what quality and what parts to use...thats why hes able to give a 12 month warrenty instead of the usual 3 to 6 months.

I also think that some of the engines BMW use in their bikes are now built over there...times are changing...
