Bought new wiper blades

My Bosch wiper blades are 2 years old and have always squeaked and lately juddered. We don't use the car much in heavy rain but just recently its been very annoying, I tried some rainX and this temporally eased it but ended up with smearing and tiny bubbles that made visibility dreadful. So bought from Halfords some Valeo Infinium wipers, put them on yesterday and they seem brill. I will go out today when it rains and hope for the best :) . Halfords tried to sell us 2x 20" as that's what their computer tells them, took a while to convince them they where wrong.:)
 
I bought a two pack (20/21) of the Bosch Super ones a couple of years back. I was placing an order with Autodoc, so added them to it.
Word of warning: the ones they supply are for LHD so the aero blade on the driver's blade is the other way up. It didn't actually seem to make any difference to the performance, but it played havoc with my OCD. :rofl:
 
Been out in the drizzle and good so far, very pleased. (y) No noise and clear screen. The passenger one doesn't rap around the screen but then nor did the Bosch ones.
 
I bought a pair of Halfords flat wiper blades R51 & R45 a couple of years back, not expecting them to be up to much but they've turned out to be really good.
 
I have Bosch ones on my car and like others have found the passenger side doesn't sit on the screen at the end - my previous Aerotwins didn't either.

Next time I replace them I'm going to try a shorter one on the passenger side.

I fitted a Tesco own brand aero-style one to my old E46 daily and it was surprisingly good! I needed it in a hurry as the first time it rained after I bought it the wipers tangled because a garage had fitted one to the drivers' side that was tool long. :rolleyes:
 
Update on wipers, took the 20" back to Halfords and got a 19" for the passenger side as the 20" stuck out. They kept looking at their computer and saying they don't do a 19". I'll have a look shall I, yes you do. :) :rolleyes:
 
Who makes the bmw ones youd get from a dealer? I find aftermarket are never quite as good and sometimes a false economy

I'm pretty sure the OE ones were Bosch with the metal arms, not their Aerotwins.
