Bought another BMW ... kind of

We'd been thinking of changing the GF's car for a while now as the old Subaru she's been running around in is getting a bit long in the tooth. We thought about her using the Zed everyday but this wasn't going to be practical when she needs to ferry our 10 year old and her mates around. So after much debate on what to buy, we settled on a Mini Cooper and found this really well spec'd version via a private sale on Autotrader? It's had two previous lady owners and covered 24k miles in six years. The first owner ticked plenty of the options boxes when ordering including 17 inch alloys, chilli pack, upgraded full leather, heated seats, Xenon headlamps, multi function steering wheel, Bluetooth, cruise control, chrome line exterior and interior packages, piano black dash inserts, rear privacy glass plus a few more that I can't remember.
We collected the car a week or so ago but Saturday was the first opportunity I'd had to give the car a good clean. Washed with Meguiars NXT shampoo using the two bucket method, then clayed using a G3 clay mit. After claying I applied one coat of AG Resin polish followed by two coats of Angelwax Desirable and finally a coat of Meguiars ultimate quick detailer.
Here's a couple of pics taken after Saturday's cleaning session.

Keep an eye on the oil level, they can use up to 1 litre every thousand miles.
Ours uses around 1/2 litre every thousand miles.

Very nice indeed
Had a similar specced mini last year for the Mrs, handled like a go cart and well built too!
