And bought the GoPro 3+ Black edition today. Saw that the release date is not until March next year so thought that I will miss too much if I don't get one before than.

best bit is the 4k (if you have a 4k TV and the iPhone alignment and control features.

No 4k TV, but just hope that my efforts are better than the Hero 2 which I used on the last holiday which got condensation in front of the lens in 2 minutes so my mountain road filming was driving in the mist

It's a very common problem. Gopro wan you to buy the drying strips that are placed in the housing. Best bet is to use an open case and record the sound on a differen device. Then in edit, splice the sound with the crip creat video. Ps only use upen case when not wet. Realistically the sound from a gopro in a seal case at best is pants. That's what I do. Ps don't forget do make like a clapperboard in view of the video so you can sync the sound.
