Had a little time to kill after messing around in the garage this afternoon.
Thought it would be great to take the car out for a spin so I got in and backed out of the garage...
That's when I noticed my poor bike sitting in the corner of the garage, neglected and alone. I've been ignoring it for a while now. I pulled back in the garage and decided to take the bike out instead!
All I can say is, I made the right choice. As much as I love my car, as big of a smile as it puts on my face when I put the top down and pull out of the driveway, I almost forgot what my bike can do!
I pulled it out, started it up and slid on my helmet. The rumble at idle while it was warming up was enough to make me start grinning. As I pulled onto the street and opened it up a little the rumble became a deep, guttural roar and then quickly became an ear splitting shriek! Holy Crap! All I can say is that thing doesn't belong on the street! What an absolutely insane machine!
Anyway, when I parked it in the garage again I moved some things around and parked it in the front row. I think it winked at me as the garage door was closing...

I swear my shop is conspiring to get me a bike. 3 more people now have bikes. Almost all of them are good buddies. TBH the only thing holding me back on it, is that i've never ridden before (and the military riding class is booked solid) and I don't really want to learn how to ride in Vegas where people don't even look to do anything 97% of the time.

You also saved some gas... :w00t:

really, I always thought these performance bikes were poor on gas consumption (if you ride them "properly")?

Nah their not too bad.
Even riding hard (for the street) I still get over 30 mpg...
And the tank is only 4.8 gallons. Less then 25 bucks to fill it even at $4.50!

With bikes they're only 600-1000cc anyway, so they can only drink so much fuel. Bikes might be the way forward for the petrolhead.
