Bored and disappointed

Ho hum.

a good friend has left me with his virtually new 320d today. It's a really high spec car but, wow! after a few hours use today I have to admit that i'd be full of buyer's remorse if I'd spent so much on this car.

It seems sooo boring, has a bit of a naff image, plastics quality and sound not very impressive. Makes me worry that newer bmws may be going this way. I looked at an i8 a few weeks back and came away feeling a little the same.

I'm starting to wonder just what i might get next. Ftype looks ok, but again not that impressed by the interior, new Cayman has 4 cylinders now. The world's going mad! Aggggh!

Rant over. Time to look at the 3 series to send me to sleep. :(

Get an old Aston and live life.

Astons and Tvrs are good for meeting new people. Usually AA or RAC men. :(

21st century only. I hear that there is a new petrol only i8 on its way. Just wish the quality matched the price on a few of these cars. :x

There's nothing quite like a tvr to make every journey one to remember , the anticipation of will it make it ? The decisions of should you take walking shoes and a waterproof coat for when it does break down , should you really trust the fuel gauge after the halfway mark ? What tools should you take with you ?
I've had a few tvrs and think they are great , but they really don't work that well in the real world .

I reckon its the start of the slippery slope now with BMWs where 6cyls are concerned, they're starting with the M140i for 2019 MFY cars which will go AWD with 4 Cyl and undoubtedly the same will happen for the rest of the models further up the range. When you think most people who own a BMW don't even realise its rear wheel drive there's your answer,

Tim.

My feelings are the same with the newer BMWs, went for an E class over a 3 or 5 for SO many reasons :fuelfire:
