About time we went back to the Big Beach to give those cowards of IS a bloody nose, in addition to wiping them off the face of the earth wherever they might be hiding. I'm not an advocate of war but I can't see an alternative - my heart goes out to his family .
 
Utterly gruesome & a horrendous day for his family , can't see a end to it tbh , going to war gives them a reason to continue yet doing nothing isn't a option :(

Its all the wests fault, we try and get the Arab world to have a democratic system of government like we have, the reality is the Arab world is made up of tribal nations and unless there is a dictator to keep them in line there will never be peace. IS would never have got a foot hold if the west had backed Bashar al-Assad the president of Syria.
 
Can't agree with this I'm afraid - enough of our boys and girls have given our lives for someone else's war. Even though what IS are doing is disgusting, we can't get sucked back into fighting on the ground in this part of the world. Complete folly going back a third time.
 
Completely agree, let them get on with it and concentrate on our immigration and who exactly we let into this country than farting about over there.

Always felt Hussain and Gadaffi were there for a purpose, now the west had removed them we can see the consequences.

This isn't someone elses war this time, not with homegrown terrorists beheading British hostages.

Saddam hussein was a different thing entirely.

I hate the idea of sending the army in but drone strikes don't seem to be having any huge effect. I'm sure the British army would gladly go in and assasinate every one of these twisted fuckers.

They're being used deliberately to provoke the West, victims and killers alike. I'm sorry, but 3 dead westerners is not a reason to send an army in, no matter how brutal and sick their deaths. This is definitely someone else's war that some fools from this country have decided to get involved in. Those fools shouldn't ever be allowed back, but as rendering them stateless is illegal they should be instantly locked up forever. Or disposed of by special forces in situ.

Hussein at least had control of his country, even if we didn't like how he did it. We took him out - and at the time there were no jihadists in his country as he wouldn't tolerate it - and now we reap what we have sown. We should never go back - let the Arabs sort it out for once.

Sorry Bing, can't agree with you. The Islamic militant threat is very real, if we ignore it it will be here on our streets in no time at all. Sharia law and beheadings in your local shopping centre. They are here already.

i agree with bing, this was all brought about by getting rid of saddam and other dictators like him. they were there to keep these people under control by any means necessary and they did it well. now anarchy reigns, the countries have been looted by the west and now they have left them with no one to take control. this is the consequence

think about the repercussions of sending in troops again? do you really want to poke at a hornets nest and not expect it to chase you back to your own country and terrorise you? has 9/11 taught you nothing??

leave them to it, and when they actually come knocking on your door, hit them so hard that their heads cave in.... thats how you deal with these kind of people!

Correct ,their war ,how many times will we be involved in battles that you cannot win ,
It is not our rules and laws ,culture or religion ,or any thing else, so let them sort it, we end up having bigger problems when we step in.
Start putting the effort in to dealing with the issues we have on our small island ,and not solving the world issues
 
IMO, I agree that we have to do nothing now and stay clear of it all.

We have made an absolute mess of it already. As others have said, Saddam and his ilk were in position for a reason.

The person who is currently carving heads off on video in all likelihood is a British citizen with a British passport. . . . . as were the people who murdered and tried to hack off Drummer Lee Rigby's head in broad daylight last year.

Once upon a time, we had borders and controls in place for a reason.

Our fuckwit politicians have made an arse of it in the middle east and also have allowed a large number of these nutters into the UK and given them citizenship.
