Boot uneven gap.

Anybody know of instructions or diy to adjust the gap when my boot is closed? The top of the lid is perfectly aligned with the body panels. The left side gap is larger than the right. Very annoying.

I have had similar on my car, needs bumper lifting.
Can't remember now if i removed the tail lamp and reached down inside to adjust the mount bolts.
It's supported by the black foam.

Careful, well placed, brute force should sort that. My good lady once reversed our Primera, family car, into the tow bar on a Land Rover Defender. The owner saw her do it, shrugged his shoulders and laughed. I ended up filling the boot with paving stones, then standing in it and jumping up and down whilst holding on to the garage door, having jacked up the rear sub frame in the right place. Brutal, but it sorted the problem. :wink:

You should compare the vertical position of the boot lid on the left (1) and right (2) with a finger. If it compares, the bumper is the problem and needs to be readjusted. To adjust the boot lid, one or both couplers in the boot must be readjusted. But this is definitely not a DIY without any experience.

1 and 2 are perfectly positioned. So it must be the bumper.

So I have to weight how much I'm annoyed vs. the wok required work to fix...

I put up with it for 4 years then one day i said enough. Turned out to be a relatively simple job.

To be honest i can't remember no.
From memory the bumper pulls away at the top along the black trim.
Then you can reach down.
