Hi Guys,
I have a strange issue where my boot wont open via the roundel however it opens via the fob and the button i installed in the drivers foot well every single time perfectly fine.
So I'm assuming the mechanism is fine.
I have tested with a different boot handle i purchased off eBay and it was the same story with the fault no change.
Tested the switch on the roundel with a multi meter and looks fine and compared it to the other one purchased off ebay.
My cable going to the roundel from the main loom seemed a bit tatty and so i tested that and it seems fine as well.
Checked all my coding on carley and looks fine and no errors pop up on any of the modules for the boot on ista.
There are times where i pull the whole rear lining off the boot lid and play with it and it works for a while and then goes dead again. Which made me think the wiring has had it or its a dodgey connection but i already tested it all and seems fine
Thought it could be an ecu issue which is the last thing i have in mind to swap if its one of the ones in the boot, but so far swapped 2 of 3 of the units in there (PDC and CTM). not sure what the last one is. will remove it and see if trunk even opens or closes with it gone.
Again one of the few issues i picked up from Jan 2018..
It gets a bit annoying because i always have to open my boot via the fob and makes the roundel obsolete lol!
Any ideas??
