boot trim removal

I want to remove the boot trim by the rear bulkhead. I need to get the rear adjustable tray out. Does anyone know, do i need to completely dissemble the tray as in the pelican article below. or can the tray come out by unbolting the two adjuster brackets and detaching the hood?

Rear tray removal

Are there any better guides around than the Pelican one, I don't find the photos easy to follow.

If it's a roadster, look for guides on how to replace the rear shocks as you need to take out the tray beforehand.
It's not that bad.

If you just want to remove the awful plastic excuse for a parcel shelf this can be done quite easily by undoing the hood along its length....the rubber trim just pulls off. You can then reach in and undo the tricky plastic 'butterfly' clips that secure the shelf to the metal hinge at each end. IIRC there's 3 clips each side. Careful not to drop them in the hood motor well !

Glad it helped. I replaced my rear shocks recently and YouTube helped a lot.
