Couple posts from me today so far!

Recently, one of these little springs (not sure of the exact term, as not quite a spring!) has snapped.

Is anyone able to locate the part number / how to replace? I can't seem to find any online for the life of me..

The springs on mine aren't snapped but they don't even hold, so I don't bother with them. Are they any use at all apart from making a creaky noise while opening the boot lid?

Do you mean springs, or the dampers?
If its the dampers then a new pair is easy to source and about 5 minutes to swap over.

No the dampers are fine, but the springs somehow don't stay attached after operating the boot lid when I hook them in place.

I know it's pretty easy to replace the dampers, I actually have that in my to do list.

Are you sure you have a problem?
I currently, rather greedily, have 3 E85s on the drive and they all look like this.
Don't think they're supposed to fit over that lug above them if that's what you're trying to do?

Haha I guess I was inventing a new problem for myself. At a first glance it looked like it should be hooked to that lug-knob thing
