Boot Spoiler

Hi all, I would like to remove this from my car but not sure how best to tackle it without damaging the paintwork. It is stuck on.
Any ideas ?

I guess the first thing is to work out how it's stuck on.

If it's tape then you should be able to do the same way as debadging - fishing wire or dental floss and heat gun or hairdryer.

No chance …. Replace it with a lid from someone who would like to have it in the same colour

As said if it’s just a wrap over an original spoiler for looks then don’t even think about it Eddie, you won’t get it off ….leave as is or swap as Paul suggests.

It looks very similar to the one on my son's 2003 E85. It was screwed on from under the lid. If that's the case you can remove it, but there will be a screw hole on each side.

If it is a wrap I dont see why you cant remove the wrap even though it might be a pain in the arse and get it prepped and painted the same colour as the car as it will blend in better and not be as noticable . If it isn`t a wrap the same applies .

I had the same spoiler on mine. They were mainly fitted by BMW at the dealerships with an epoxy resin type product called BETALINK which they still use today. Wire was initially used to try and remove mine but I wouldn’t recommend this as unless you’re super careful you’ll scratch & gouge the paintwork. Only way is to apply heat…..patiently and it’ll come off eventually

It stays in outbox until the person has read it. It is not like the Outlook "outbox" that it hasn't sent.
