Boot spoiler

I’m just wondering if anyone on here has fitted a boot spoiler to their e89 ? More so the raised type. But any video footage would be helpful. I’m trying to make up my mind on this from m style but need to see it on the car from different angles. Hence the video. Hopefully someone on here has something that I might use to make up my mind

Nooohhhhh….but that’s a personal view…I’m sure there are others who view it in a positive light

I have seen one in the flesh and it was even worse than in pics....! They just don't suit the E89.

You might get away with the little flicked up spoiler but not that - However, each to their own!

Agreed - adds that little touch to a fairly uneventful 'rump'

What you choose is up to you Dave, one little thing to consider is obstruction of the boot lid brake light which the one pictured might well do. You can get some nore subtle versions that are not raised and are either low enough to allow the brake light to be seen or have a small lower section in the centre for that purpose.
Not sure if an obscured secondary brake light is an MOT issue - ill put that to the forum.....

This style is quite discreet but perhaps not the look you are after. 3m double sided tape appication so easy to fit.

Sorry, been off line for a while… great comebacks by some of you lot
I decided to leave it in the end . As I’d waiting John , a few of the Essex zeds kept me away from the idea also and I definitely wasn’t sold on the idea otherwise I’d have gone for it . I’m still deciding on the boot lip type , it has to be the smallest one they do though, not keen on some of those that protrude beyond the boot by loads . Quite like the pictures you guys posted of that type but need to see one in the flesh

Nice colour that . I’m especially interested in the black back bumper section. I’m going black with a lot on my car and was considering doing that bit black also. So that picture is a great help the group of pictures you sent poses another question now …. Because I was thinking , if I get the boot lip … i would go gloss black.. but it really works well colour coded on your one

Personally I think either C/F or black spoilers (as well as mirror caps and splitters ) look naff..but each to their own.. :thumbsdown:

I never understood why they painted on non 35is cars the rear valance a grey/brown when no E89 that colour in its palette.

The black IMHO looks soooohhhh much better and in the 35is reversing the colours on the MSPort diffuser looks much better.

To my eyes a 35is with a full colour bumper n valance looks optically as it’s prolapsed..

Yep … each to their own … we all have ideas on what we want of lovely zeds to look like. My ideas differ to yours but it doesn’t make one right or wrong . Your car looks stunning as it is . I’m happy with mine and what I’ve done to it too though, no regrets ( yet )
