The dealers don't seem to have much confidence in the adhesives - I've told them I don't want the number plates fixed wth screws to the new z4 and they didn't seem very happy about it!

I only hope they don't forget as the intention is to put my shortened ## ### front plate on at some time .

Mine were stuck on, and I lost them twice in the first day of having the car. They were screwed after that ....

My front and rear plates are stuck onto the carriers - covered a few thousand miles with them like that and they haven't budged. The secret is to use a decent exterior trim tape (and a fair bit of it) as it's waterproof and designed for the job

I expect that the dealer used the standard white sticky blocks which just did not work, I literally lost the front plate within minutes (obviously replaced by Vines as the plastic was scratched).

My plates are never coming off - I used no more nails outdoors version

Might have to test that for you on Sunday.
I'll bring my 9" angle grinder and a diamond disc - I'll have 'em off in no time...

I thought he was already testing that by trying to destroy the rear bumper?

My son-in-law has some 50mm wide industrial stuff!
The old disco had its plates stuck on with it and they never budged!

I don't want them to used screws as I will put the short front plates on at sometime.
