That's the worry mate, removing it could ruin the paint beneath.

Pretty sure sterling grey was only a pre-face colour, and the facelift cars had a different "silver grey"

These are only 80 quid, a good copy, I have just bought one and had nothing to do to it apart from paint.
I have worked with fibreglass all my working life and couldn’t fault it.
