Boot Size on Z4 Roadster

Dont forget you would need to put hte case in at ang angle requiring even more height.

Think you will need to leave the case at home if you want a Z4

I had a plasma screen Tv in the boot two days ago. The dimensions were 960mm X 670 MM and it virtually covered the whole floor It was flat though. I dont think that theres any way you would get something 400mm thick in the boot

Actually I think it will fit. I have a small ice chest that is right at 40cm high. I must put the roof shelf in the raised position and then I can slide the chest in under there. It will be very close.

I also think it may fit.

I recently had a suitcase and a massive backpack in my boot (packign for 3 weeks away).. the suitcase was 40cm wide, and on its side.. i had to put the roof shelf up, as the suitcase was flexibl(ish) i had to force it in.. but we were well amazed it all fit, we were going to take my friends Golf to the airport.. but thought i'd give it a try in my car first.

Got no more impracal car jibes from her or my parents since then!

In terms of milage mine is my only car.. but i have access to an estate pool car at work... but i drive 12k miles a year, and get about 350 miles to a tank... so its pretty frugal... better economy then my old S2000 which had a much smaller boot.

its not just the boot that you can use for storage, i went snowboarding last week and fit my 162cm snowboard with bindings in the passenger seat, i didnt even have to lower the roof. a very practical car.

I bought my 2.5SE (5 speed) roadster recently to use as a weekend motor but find it so practical I have been using it as a daily driver unless it's raining all day which defeats the point of the soft top for me. I'm amazed at the fuel consumption, in mixed driving including a motorway commute, fun blasts and running around mostly A/B roads I'm getting 36MPG which compared to 46MPG from my 2.0TDI diesel on the routes (but with no fun blasts of course). I reckon this is amazing, the 2.0 will be even better. The boot is very good for sportster.

It's the standard BMW one. Can't remember if there are two, if so, it's the better (firmer) one, though I've one in the other car and may be thinking of that.

I don't have the dimensions, but I can vouch for the practicality of the Z4 Roadster and it's big boot. I did a 3-day tour with a mate last week carrying full camping kit (5-man tent, airbeds, sleeping bags, 2 x folding chairs, camping stove, gas, and all the associated crap), clothes, food, water, beer, whisky, a couple of BBQs, as well as my camera gear and tripod. The Z4 swallowed it all, no problems.

We were by far the most impractical car on the campsites, but I guarantee nobody else had as much fun on the roads getting there as me :)

I know this is a bit late coming but i can categorically state that it will not fit.
I fly model helicopters and one of the flight cases i use is a bit smaller than your case, and there is no way it will fit in the boot. The biggest case that will fit is the flight case i use for my trex 500. It is 890x210x390mm. This fits with about 5 mm clearance at the side. it is literally wedged in.
