Boot size in reality

Depends how big your cabin bags are.

There is a luggage set which is designed to fit with the roof down:

They come up for sale on here often enough.

I would say that the boot would fit two small cabin bags with the roof stowed.
Thats brilliant mate, they even tell you the size of the cases so that you can go to a shop with a tape measure!! Thanks again.

First and foremost, must compliment you on your perfect good taste on your choice of wheels. 2014 was a vintage year for VO 35is models.

Managed to convey a recently purchased 6ft bird table in the car. Admittedly I had to return to the garden centre on a fine day to pick it up so I could drive 10 mile or so with the roof down and the bird table sticking out which didn't do much for the street cred.

Why, didn't it attract many birds?

Why would one want to pay hundreds of EUR/USD/GBP (pick your favorite) when a regular big air travel case (not the huge ones) fits perfectly, leaving room for a full laptop/camera backpack and 1 or 2 purses? I travel with a Samsonite Spinner, the 75/28 size I think + a big camera backpack and small etcetera's (like wife's purse, a bag of road snacks and drinks and the like), with the roof down and wallet intact. Maybe it doesn't use the boot space as efficiently as the specially created bags, but I can't complain with my choice.
