Boot size in reality

Can read spec sheets all day long without getting anywhere on this - can 2 flight size bags fit in the boot with the roof down?

Depends how big your cabin bags are.

There is a luggage set which is designed to fit with the roof down:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E89-Z4-Convertible-Cabriolet-Roadsterbag-Suitcase-Set-/184084093077?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

They come up for sale on here often enough.

I would say that the boot would fit two small cabin bags with the roof stowed.

I have a set of the ones Deepseaskateboard and they utilise the space perfectly. What I found was using other bags/cases that due to the strange shape you lost a bit of useable space. The cases are wedge shaped to maximise space.

Even though I’ve now got a G29 we’re still using these as the replacement for the G29 are nearly £750 and I ain’t spending that on some cases

I will have to relent and buy something better for our Pyrenees trip as there’s a lot of wasted space by using the E89 ones.

Two small flight bags will easily fit, we used one plus a mid sized soft bag and had room left around the edges for a couple of back pack

£750 quid - crickey - they made by Versace :o

We use these…work very well..you can use the two smaller bags as flight bags on most airlines..

Get an E85. I can fit a full set of golf clubs and electric trolley in with the roof down.

Good idea…find a friend who has an E85 or even better an E86….use them as a mule..your luggage will arrive eventually but saves you from carrying all that luggage.. :tumbleweed: :driving: :poke:

Surely if the luggage you need to carry doesn't fit then you've got the wrong car?
I had to pick the outlaws up from the airport on Monday; of the three cars I had to take the least enjoyable one to fit them and their luggage. Horses for courses.

I found the best practice was to go to the shop where you intend to buy and try them.

I picked up a large and a medium size Antler soft bags which they happily filled with various bits and pieces and I drove to the rear of the shop and made sure they fitted.

If you only have the one car and its a Zed, the outlaws can get a taxi. :D

I went down the Roadster bag route years ago - They were nothing remotely like those prices!
Ive just checked with the dealer I bought mine from and he now wants €449 + shipping costs. Its good kit but I wouldn't fancy paying those sort of prices.

Stick a WANTED add on the forum bu be prepared to wait, Summer is a long way off !

Nope, just the same Roadster ones for the G29, a mere drop in the ocean for compared to the Porsche ones :o

Put me down for two, just in case one set gets damaged
I'm definitely in the wrong business.

I remembered this from when I was configuring the GTS 4.0 between the optional extras of a matching watch and luggage it was £11k that’s more than I normally spend on my daily, not a watch and a feckin hold-all

Yeah, we’re definitely in the wrong game!!!

With that username … are you trying to figure out how many bodies you can fit in the boot?
