Hey guys,

Quick question can anyone give me the measurements of the inside of the boot ?

I need to transport a cymbal bag which is 700mm diameter 300mm thick

and a plastic bow which is 650mm long x 400mm high x 400m THEY DONT HAVE TO BE TRANSPORTED AT THE SAME TIME

If these fit in the boot I am going to place the order today ! :D

Cheers

The main part of the boot is 750mm x 650mm x 360mm
This is the main square area in the boot with the shelf/tray in the raised position.
400mm height would not fit in the boot.

And just seen you have an e85 so probably no use, lol
Pretty sure he's just posted recently that 'He's back' with an E89
Assuming I'm correct:
Front to back 74cm
Width (under roof shelf) 72cm
Max width 130cm but not for totally depth if you get my drift
Height under 'roof shelf' 36cm about 44cm at rear with shelf up

650mm wide??
Just been out again, mines definitely 720mm. Are there different models?

you guys are amazing ! thanks for your quick replies - just to clarify I did have an e85 but am just about to place the order for an e89

need to obviously change my signature too

So the cymbal bag will fit - looks like I may have to shave some off the box

Just checked mine again and across the narrowest part of the boot you could possibly squeeze 660mm.
This is as you look into the boot nearest the bumper.
If you measure across inside the part that holds the shelf it is around 720mm but that isnt the narrowest point.
However as its a cymbal bag and its not square there is a chance that it might fit between these points.
You would really need to try it.

 Agreed, in my rush I missed that narrowing at the bumper end
You would get 400mm square in further back but wouldn't have the height
I guess the passenger seat is not an option?

Ok just to clarify - from the rear bumper it's 650mm wide and the widens to 720mm ? Whats the length from the rear bumprt towards the front ?
Ha ha too complicated might have to take up the flute

Going by both our measurements I would say between 740-750mm

Hi Badger, max length bumper to front is just about 30inches (with a centre cavity taking it to 37 max

I’ve just measured the widest point in the boot at 1m320cm, although that width isn’t for much more than 25cm or so?

If transporting these is a key factor in deciding whether to get the car or not, then I would say find an E89 and try to fit them in.
Maximum dimensions are one thing, but actually getting the items through the gap to reach the maximum dimensions may be a different matter.

Agree with this, trying it is the best option and you maybe presently surprised. I was when I managed to get all my dive kit and two cylinders in

You sure thats it all?
I dont see a dry suit or fins in there.
I think I would put the box in the middle with a cylinder on each side to take the pressure off the shelf as these have been broken before.

Dry suit? In the southwest here, wetsuit is easily enough :P fins went on top after this. Good shout on the tray though, will go alternate sides next time

I’d put the box in the middle rather than alternate sides, it won’t touch the roof protector at all that way

Up that's what i meant, alternate sides was for the cylinders. But one each side would have been easier to say
