Boot roundel

Where's the best place to buy a BMW boot roundel - mine is tarnished.
If you want one that will last then get an OEM one, if you want one to last long enough to sell a car there's plenty on eBay

Definitely - I replaced all mine at the end of last year, and I think Soapers were cheapest for the boot badge

Though for wheel centre caps I got some good ones off ebay for £6, even if they only last a year or two well worth it.

For all badges go OEM. The ones from eBay dont last and they aren't that much more expensive when it makes such a difference to the look of the car. There are no wheel badges with the same rounding at the edge as OEM and the boot badge gets touched a lot as well so you need the hardest wearing.

Completely disagree for the wheels, they're about £10 each compared to £6 for 4 and are identical as far as I can tell.

The Ebay wheel roundels last about six months, maybe a bit longer if through the Summer and not Winter. What's £35 these days for the proper bit of kit and that's using your figures. I never saw any decent looky likeys on eBay for £6 when I tried the copies. That said I haven't checked and will never again!

Mine are fine and have been on longer than that. Other than the different colour plastic I couldn't tell the difference. As I say, even if they only last 2 years they're still cheaper overall.

I went through 2 sets of cheap ebay wheel badges before deciding enough was enough and paid £32 for OEM ones in the new style.

Water gets behind the badge on the cheap ones which causes them to lift. Usually this is due to using a pressure washer, which the cheap badges absolutely hate. Same thing happened to my cheap side repeater badges. Going to be replacing those with OEM aswell.
