When the car is running, after pressing the brake I take my foot off the pedal the boot mechanism works and leaves the boot on the latch. This happens every time I use the brake
If the car is not running the above does not happen.
2 little lights in the right hand corner of the led brake lights are always lit
If I try to open my boot manually it will not work but will with the key fob
When I disconnect the led brake light the boot lid manual opener will work
I have had an auto electrician look at the car and he tells me he believes it’s down to water ingress, apparently he checked using diagnostic gear and could not find a fault on any of the electrics, but said the wiring was wearing somewhere and shorting, he suggests drying the car out but there are no real signs of water other than the boot lid which was wet with condensation under the panel. The car is very clean and no signs anywhere of rot
