Boot light

Does anyone have a light in the boot of their Z4? Mine doesn't and it just seems strange that there's no light in there. I have found a cable/plug on the right of the boot which may be a connector for a light.

I asked my local BMW garage and the guy there said he wasn't sure if the Z4 had one - a lot of help he was!

Does anyone here have a light in there?
 
I got one on the left hand side it isn't too bad at night, but BMW should have put 1 on either side.
 
thanks for the responses. I'll see if bmw stock them. Probably won't make much difference but im sure it won't cost much. I don't suppose anyone has a part number... :?
 
the light is pants.. tell us how much the light costs when you go, might put a second one on the other side at some point.

i've always wondered - are cooper bmw an official bmw dealership? Their site is completely different to the others.
 
mine is on the near side, like others have said, its rubbish, the light from my mobile is more use

Got it. Cost £7.60 inc vat.

Oh, and yes - it's rubbish. I'm trying to find a brighter bulb to go in there, but not sure where to look.
 
I thought it would be festoon too, but I had a look at it and it seems to look more like the bulbs you use for the sidelights which was suprising.
 
hey guys, i have one on the driver side and yes...its as much use as a glass eye.

just as an aside, does anyone know the type and size of the footwell lights in the zed?
