Boot light

OK, you know what's coming. Boot light won't work. Put in new bulb. Boot light won't work.

Is this a common fault and is there a common fix, please?

Yes, it is.
This is the hint, that one or more wires are broken in the central locking system of the boot lid.

Yes first thing i noticed looking at wiring diagram, that indicated left limit had broken wire, also controls boot light..
But seems as in my car's case, the right also go at some point. (Lasted 12 years though).
Anyone fixing i would check both sets of wires.

Same here on the continent:
right ones will break as well, in most cases later than the left ones. :rofl:
