Boot light problem

Hi, I hope someone here can help.

I've had a boot light failure and for ages thought it was just a bulb but between one thing and another never got round to sorting it. Anyway I finally get round to looking at it and shock horror, the bulb looks fine.

So I tried to install that LED light kit I got from Scooba Steve and that to was very dead.

A Google on the fuses stated that the interior lights do the boot light as well so I don't think it's the fuse?

Any ideas?

light is controlled by central locking boot lid (M17a) has a 0.5 WS/BR wire to light and other wire 0.5 RT/GE

WS - white
BR - brown

RT - Red
GE - yellow

do an electrical check to see if power is getting there, check fuses 10,12 & 26
