I know the pic shows a roady, but realeom doesn't show a pic for the coupe in this instance.. bloody annoying actually..
number 3 on the pic. but is this the same part for a coupe/roady? its the bit that swivels up to realease the boot.. does the emblem just pop off that?

anyone know?

cheers :poke:

I replaced the BMW boot emblem on my coupe last summer...
its easy to do, the emblem is stuck onto the swivel lock mechanism with automotive tape.

The old one is fairly easy to remove if the ambient temperature is hot - else you may need the help of a brief blast from a hairdryer to loosen up the adhesive.
Carefully prise off the old emblem by inserting a thin piece if plastic between the emblem edge and the mechanism - once you get it going an old credit card comes in handy for this stage.

Replacement emblems are available to buy the same size - I fixed mine back on with 3M automotive tape
Total time 30mins (on average)

Awesome mate, just what I wanted to hear, what size is the roundel? Do you remember? 82mm?? :D

Sorry don't remember exactly but it's a standard size. 82mm sounds familiar but would recommend measuring the old one yourself.

Also forgot to mention that if you are having difficulties getting started removing the old roundel, a piece of dental floss worked down between the roundel and the locking mechanism is great for widening the gap enough to enable a piece of plastic to be inserted.
