Boot internal Light

I have a 53 plate Zed and one of the things that I have always found a bit surprising is the lack of internal boot light.
Has anyone here retro fitted one and if so what would be recommended, best place to site it and where to pick the electric feed up from.
As usual any advice and comments would be appreciated.

Put a strip of waterproof led's in and pick up the contacts from the boot light, dead easy job and you gets loads of light

I done exactly what Davz has suggested. Big improvement.

This, don’t need to be waterproof though. :?

But I don’t have a light at all so I can’t pick the feed up from the boot light as it does not exist.

That doesn't sound right somehow - I thought they all had an (admittedly fairly ineffective) light in the passenger side of the boot. :?

Maybe worth checking the boot lining on that side for a light that isn't working, or a hole in the lining where a light should be then you might find a connector.

The waterproof version is just a couple of quid more and they are much better protected if you happen to catch the strip with something in the boot.
I went for blue.......only cos I had a spare bit of strip and had already used the controller elsewhere, so the choice was blue or red light

This is where the controller ended up

Sorry for any confusion.

It's on the passenger side in my Coupe. :?

Thanks everyone, I got the torch out today and found it. Drivers side, rectangular hole in the boot liner, with small electrical connector poking through.
I have had my zed for 9 years and can’t believe that I have not seen this before !!! Now to decide what type of light to put in there

That's good that you found the power source. Any light is an improvement really.
