Boot access for luggage

I'm sure I read somewhere that with the roof down there's a mode to partially lift the folded roof out of the boot to allow access into the boot for luggage/shopping removal. Meaning the boot lid can be opened the normal way. Saves having to completely close the roof just to put luggage in. I can't see anything in the manual about this - can anyone enlighten me?
 
I'm sure I found it in the manual, got all excited, then discovered it's only active with the comfort package?
 
That's probably what I read. Just tried it, doesn't work - I don't have the comfort package. Would have been useful though.
