Bonnet won't open

Hi, was going to open the bonnet this morning, pulled the release catch inside the car and the bonnet popped as normal, but I can't open it as the safety catch won't release... Any ideas on how to fix it ? Cheers.

You can pop one of the grilles out and hopefully release it through there. They just pull out from the top.

Happen to me, and as mentioned above. Pop a grill, and with a screwdriver flick the bonnet catch.

I had that problem with my 1 Series. I managed to lift the bonnet just enough to spray some WD40 onto the pivot on the safety catch, left it a while to soak in and then it released.

Just happened to me yesterday - 2 minutes after a squirt of WD40 it was fine.

Thanks... All sorted now, popped grill and with a bit of we 40 and a wiggle with a screwdriver it now works fine
