Bonnet roundel size

I own an Alpina Roadster S and am considering changing the roundels to carbon fibre as many of you have already done. I am however, somewhat confused having read your comments on the sizes. You state that the indicators and boot roundels are 82mm in dia. and that the bonnet measures 73mm dia. I agree with the 82mm size but I measure my bonnet badge as 69mm (possibly 70mm). I would appreciate your comments on this and any advice.

The one on the BMW parts catalogue states 70mm, but I assume the 73mm will fit anyway as it's only 1.5mm a side wider.

However, don't forget that the Z4 front badge is bolted on and not just a friction fit in a couple of grommets.
