Just had a new bumper on the rear of the 535, thanks to a tail-gater! While it was in for repair I got them to respray the bonnet, which had the usual stone chips plus an area where the lacquer had been removed by a zealous jet-washer!
When the bodyshop returned the car last week I noticed there was a small stone chip on the bonnet - presumably incurred during the drive from bodyshop to deliver the car to my house. I refused to pay for the bonnet (£235), asking them to repair the new stonechip. They said they'd either take the car away again or I'd have to pay in full! Bloody cheek!
My reply was that it was my car, I had the keys in my pocket, and the car was going nowhere without my say-so. And I wouldn't be paying for the bonnet respray until they fixed it. They instantly offered to halve the price of the bonnet respray, which I accepted.
