Eeerrrrr that's brown not black :?
Glad the job went well Op

Ha, ha yeah it is brown. The spray man also buffed the rest of the car and got rid a couple of minor scratches which is great as I now don't have to T cut them out. He wants me to take the car back to him after 2 weeks so he can re buff the bonnet again once it has properly dried and set. Can't fault what he has done. Will be using him again if I ever need any paint jobs doing

It cost ÂŁ350 cash. It had quite a few stone chips but some idiot before me did a very bad job touchIng them in with a touch up pen so made them look even worse I thought I could live with it but couldn't , just spoiled the look of the car to me so getting it resprayed was worth every penny.

Thinking of having this done myself as my z has lots of little stone chips on the bonnet but don't know whether to or not. Is it best to leave it original or touch up to prevent further problems or go the whole hog and have the bonnet fully resprayed? :?

I had this dilemma too but its your car at end of day so do what ever makes you happy. I've taken a few pics of before and after just so if and when i sell the potential buyer questions why the bonnet had been resprayed i can show him pics of it before just so he doesn't think its been in an accident. Also this car is not my daily driver so won't be doing loads of miles so hopefully will stay stone chip free for the duration i have the car. if i was doing loads of miles in this car I may not have got it done due to more stone chips happening. When i bought the car I got a few hundred pounds knocked off the price due to the stone chips and a small dent on the boot lid so I haven't even spent the money I got knocked off the price getting the car to my standards so happy.

Yeah I know its a bit naughty but its been on a car now for 1.5 years and even had police behind me before and never got pulled. Also had cars motd with it still on and not even a warning from them so fingers crossed ill be ok for a while

The plate should read Y8 OJH but just spaced things out a bit. To be honest I have seen a lot worse on other cars
