Bonnet catch will not latch

As above really , the RHS bonnet catch will not lock. LHS is fine as is the central catch so the thing hopefully won't fly off . The LHS catch seems free and moves easily. It is in the same position ( the hook) as the RHS one when the bonnet is open but it just will not latch. Any ideas people ?

Hi, check to see if the receptacle catch is stuck open, might need some wd40 and freeing out a bit, other than that.... it's adjust the hook downwards to catch, but that's unlikely as it shouldn't change unless someone adjusted it !

Thanks, I'll give the WD40 a go although the catch is moving freely but maybe not locking.
