Bonnet badge.

Chaps, my bmw bonnet badge is aweful, so need a new one. A friend of mine works at bmw near where I live and can get one for £25 from her dealership. Does this sound a bit right? Cheers

IIRC the Z4 one is a funny size, so be careful.
 
Yep I thought it was 70mm, plenty of 73mm ones on Amazon ebay etc but very in quality by the looks of it. So for the sake of £25 if that's a fair price I might as well get that and correct size.
 
aye it's about the right price, bmw direct have them on ebay as well.
Tried to remove mine yesterday as it's in a similar state, gave up trying to get the nuts off the back of it, total pain in the arse.

The wheel caps are actually the same size, bought a set of four for £5 on ebay and they came in two parts, the emblem with 3M on it and the cap section, just stuck it on top has done the job.
i'll take a pic tomorrow.
 
Wheel caps are 68mm. I'd just get it from a dealer. The nuts can be a right PITA though :x
 
I bought some wheel caps off eBay, the sticky on ones that come in 2 pieces, they only have 5 clips on the instead of ~12 like the OEM ones so they don't hold very well. If you're OCD about the cap lining up with the M badge on alloys then don't get these, they'll spin in place and torture your OCD :|
 
Yes, the bonnet badge on the Z4 is an oddball size, I tried to find a black one but couldn't so ended up painting / dyeing the original
