Bonnet badge replacement

Hi all, I have an E86 Coupe and need to replace the bonnet badge. Could someone kindly tell me what gromets are needed to go into the holes, to secure the badge on. I've previously been provided some metal discs, but these don't feel right to use.

Thanks.

No grommets in the holes at the front.
Pop out a front grille and reach behind. You'll find two flimsy nut/disc things.
Should be able to twist them off by hand, or get a socket on them.
Fit the new badge and if you have been provided with replacement 'nuts' screw them on and they kind of cut their own thread as they go.

I've bought two front badges from BMW and neither of them came with the "riv-nuts" so make sure you don't lose them when you take the old badge off!

Yeah dont over tighten the nuts either, they'll cut through the plastic 'prongs' quite easily.

The 'metal discs' you have, might be what you need, can you post up a pic?

Part No. 51418176418. Purchased separately alongside the badge from Vertu Motors.

Another BMW wallet raping exercise! Given what they charge for the badge you'd think they would include new riv-nuts. 😦
