Anyone here have ProTool and an e89? If yes, can you confirm that you can open the boot / trunk latch using ProTool?

Yes. I'd not used that function before, but I just tested it, and it works. It's under Interior -> Control - unlock tailgate.

But ProTool is magic! :lol: Whatever justification you need to buy it... or a similar tool.

Buy a BMW out of warranty, Buy a scanning tool.
