Is it normal for these bolt covers to fall off? It seems a bit strange to me as it wasn't even loose or rattly to just fall off and disappear

I think they fall off if the clips get loose or break off. Mine are currently off as I was messing around with the centre console. Keep them somewhere safe as 5 quid or so each for a bit of plastic is ridiculous, especially if you need 4.
 
Mine is missing too.

Part number for a black one is 51167053123 I think.

Check RealOEM for one in your trim colour.

I think one of mine fell off on passenger side, so far tried to ignore it because I don't see that side much. Will need to replace also.

it only took 1 journey from runcorn to liverpool. that was enough. i did use real oem but there are many different options so i just called soapers and we figured it from there.

on a different note can you all see the marks on the gearkknob leather. is there any way to fix this?
 
Yup, when I was breaking my Zed I had soooo many folk wanting these little pieces of plastic it was unreal!

£5 each is a joke also.....i ended up giving the ones I had away.

If you live near White City, Car Giant has 2 Z4's for sale, well they did last weekend....maybe you could pay them a visit...not condoning theft at all tho.....merely permanently borrowing them!
 
Mmmm the one behind the inside drivers door handle has went walkies on mine too :x
 
yes i was talking about the wear on gear stick also.

i dont mind £5, well i do but i was expecting worse! its worth it to cover the ugly hole....
