Yes they were both unfit to lead for completely different reasons.Nanu said:Bojo getting sacked and Liz getting sacked has one common denominator.

Breaking his own rules that HE put in place, as he was the PM so the buck stops there, while thousands of people died frightened and alone because their relatives were not allowed anywhere near them due to the rules that HE put in place.
Then not giving a sh*t and lying to everybody.
Unforgiveable; but hey never mind. Come back all is forgiven! :x

You follow the MSM too much. Boris and Sunak were attending the cabinet office for a pre planned meeting. Unknown to them his wife and staff who were also attending the meeting presented him with a birthday cake.Pondrew said:Or put another way:Nanu said:Eating cake on your birthday. Agreed on the second part, mate. I'm not going to apologise for caring about this; it's important. It's gone beyond politics IMHO, it's about our (and our kids') futures at the minute. The damage being done hourly could last decades.enuff_zed said:doubling both Pondrews post count and his blood pressure.

I seem to recall Starmer using the defence of his curry and beer being a work event. Funny how his case was a break between work meetings and Boris not
True but Starmer was all over the media saying how whiter than white he was and hammering Boris for breaching the rules. Hypocrisy springs to mind.Pondrew said:Nanu said:You follow the MSM too much. The met spent £500,000 (God knows how) investigating this debacle. Boris and Co were guilty and I don't give two shites about Starmer as he wasn't in charge (then).
lot broke the rules. CONS Labour SNP, etcPondrew said:Or put another way:Nanu said:Eating cake on your birthday. Serious stuff and definitely a sackable offence

I seem to recall that legislation applies to all subjects? I don’t think you will be able to find a section in the Covid or any other legislation for that matter that states the rules only apply to those that make or pass the rules into law and nobody else.sars said:Most excellent.Vornwend said:boris-01.jpeg
The difference between Boris and Starmer, the police decided that Boris’s broke his own rules and Starmer did not. Nanu, the more you post, the more you remind me of either a nut-job conspiracy theorist or a modern day William Joyce
sars said:[ref]Nanu[/ref], That’s the point, regardless of your own conspiracy theories, Boris was charged and fined for breaking the rules of social gatherings during lockdown, whereas Starmer was investigated, but no charges were brought. He also stated that if he was charged he would resign.
I’m not sure that the above translated well from the thoughts in your head to the your actual postslick said:sars said:[ref]Nanu[/ref], That’s the point, regardless of your own conspiracy theories, Boris was charged and fined for breaking the rules of social gatherings during lockdown, whereas Starmer was investigated, but no charges were brought.
