Boing...

Hopefully you're of the same mind as me, and there is no such thing as a stupid question

I have a 2014 E89, looking to swap the springs out (30mm lower f & b).
Never done it before, should it be attempted?
Do I need any special tools for the zed... spring compressor etc?
Do I need to replace the shocks at the same time?

Thanks,

ZedConvert

Are you in an M Sport car as the drop will be dependent on where you start from as most quote from non M Sport, also there are a set of H&R springs for sale I think currently in Market Place for the E89 ... I had a garage fit my Eibachs for a slight reduction from my M Sport height, has helped a fair bit.

No need for new shocks and can't comment and what tools you need .... but good luck

[ref]DibbleCorse[/ref], no non-M... so drop should be as advertised.

If I don’t need anything special to carry it out, I might give it a shot :fuelfire:

You'll need a pair of spring compressors, a jack and stands, wheel chocks, a selection of sockets and a rachet. Nothing too complicated, took me about 2 hours start to finish with tea breaks 👍

I went for the Eibachs, they took a few weeks to settle but once they did they ended up being basically the perfect height for me.

[ref]PinkPineapple44[/ref], appreciate the guidance; I guess I still end up saving a couple of hundred over a garage doing it!

I started with Eibachs and then had H&R front springs fitted. I think a 6 cylinder up front helps the front sit bettter.

I didn’t fit them myself but it’s far easier / quicker on a ramp!
