Yeah got that out and all smooth, solenoid pin moves freely now also and put on a 12v battery and pin shoots out so assuming now all good. Will try and get the lower one off now
Let's hope this is the problem then.Wookster78 said:Yeah got that out and all smooth, solenoid pin moves freely now also and put on a 12v battery and pin shoots out so assuming now all good. Will try and get the lower one off now
See if there's any improvement with just that one done.Wookster78 said:Well 50% there can’t get the bottom one off without the radiator coming out, just no clearance so will have to save that for another day when I have some more coolant, pain it’s so tight in there
Wookster78 said:Fingers crossed just took her for a run and back to full power with no bogging, if the top one was gunky then the bottom must not be far behind so have to see if I can find a super deep socket to get it off.
Joez4 said:You need a 32 mm socket that is at least 3.5 inches deep quite hard to find or a 32mm crows foot spanner can also remove it but I can't confirm that.
If that really has cured the problem it was worth a few hours of work.Wookster78 said:Fingers crossed just took her for a run and back to full power with no bogging, if the top one was gunky then the bottom must not be far behind so have to see if I can find a super deep socket to get it off.

Not exactly what I thought the problem may be, but it got you there.

Could always be an intermittent fault gremlin as it’s not a daily driver but only time will tell
